The retailer Build-A-Bear is in the process of making a live-action movie inspired by it's toy line. The project titled Honey Girls will feature Grammy winner Ashanti in the role of Fancy G, a global phenomenon that hosts a talent competition in the search for the next great solo artist.
The story of Notorious B.I.G. has been told a couple times via a variety of films, docs and series, over the past decade. This new project from Netflix will be able to distinguish itself by being the first documentary approved by the estate of the late rapper. Netflix has dropped a trailer which chronicles his life growing up in Brooklyn, New York, and becoming the one of the biggest icons of rap.
